Dr. Phillips is a Texas native who has been practicing and enjoying dentistry for over 40 years now! His Frisco dental office is equipped with the latest technology, including digital X-rays, which use less than a tenth of the radiation as film X-rays, as well as digital scanners, intraoral cameras, and high-quality, natural-looking dental materials. What really sets our practice apart from the rest, however, is his dedication to providing each and every patient with the phenomenal dental care they deserve. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Since Dr. Phillips’ parents never completed high school, he broke the mold by going on to higher education! He has always loved working with his hands, and the fact that he could do so as a dentist immediately drew him to the dental field. Now, he uses a gentle hand, the latest dental techniques, and a compassionate approach to show those in his treatment chair that preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry doesn’t hurt. He also loves telling horrible dad jokes to help relax his patients!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Phillips’ 40+ year career in dentistry began at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He earned his DDS degree and worked in the Army in a medical research unit, which focused on doubling the shelf life of stored blood.
After that, Dr. Phillips’ came to Frisco Dental Care, and he’s been helping his friends, family, and neighbors at this office for more than two decades now! He is so passionate about providing exceptional care that he completes over 12 hours of advanced dental continuing education every year. Plus, he maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and The Dallas County Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Phillips has been married for 37 years with two lovely children. His son is a lawyer, and his daughter is in college to be a speech pathologist. His son just made him a proud grandfather of a beautiful baby girl. His passions in life are his home, travel, and dental families.
